Baton Rouge, La. – The second-ranked LSU Tigers clobbered the NIU Huskies on Thursday afternoon by a score of 10-2 in Alex Box Stadium.
The Tigers advanced to 5-0 with the victory. LSU pitcher Nate Ackenhausen got the win after striking out 6 batters and giving up 2 hits, 3 walks, and 1 earned run through 3.2 innings. Second baseman Josh Pearson had a magnificent game, hitting 2 home runs.
The Tigers return to Alex Box Stadium on Friday, February 23rd, at 2:00 pm CT to take on the Stoney Brook Seawolves. The game can be streamed on SEC Network+ and heard on the LSU Sports Radio Network.
