LSU is in the mix for another Ole Miss commit heading into early signing day.

Three-star defensive lineman Carmelow Reed from Olympia Fields, Illinois, was initially committed to Wisconsin but flipped to Ole Miss back in the summer.

With Lane Kiffin now at LSU, Reed received an offer from the Tigers on Tuesday morning and could end up in Baton Rouge.

Reed will sign with either LSU or Ole Miss at a signing day ceremony at his school on Wednesday at 3:15 p.m.

There was a study done a few years ago and concluded with...the higher your recruiting ranking, the more 5*s, the better your record and/or championships.

Yeah, there are some outliers with 3* stars and 5* busts but the average is that the higher your recruiting ranking the better within about a 4 or 5 year period.
