Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt is expected to visit LSU this week as a potential transfer destination, according to multiple reports.

Leavitt just wrapped up a visit to Kentucky and was planning to visit Texas Tech, but will not be making the trip to Lubbock. Instead, he will now visit LSU.

The 6-2, 205-pound quarterback from West Linn, Oregon, played in seven games this past season before suffering a season-ending injury on Oct. 25 against Houston. During those seven games, Leavitt passed for 1,628 yards, ten touchdowns, and three interceptions.

During his redshirt freshman season last year, Leavitt led the Sun Devils to a Big 12 Championship and CFP playoff birth. He passed 2,885 yards with 24 touchdowns and six interceptions in 2024. He also rushed for 443 yards with five rushing touchdowns.

Leavitt began his college career at Michigan State but only played in four games as a true freshman in 2023.

Earlier today TT was bringing him in for a visit after Soresby didn’t commit and flew to LSU. Now Leavitt isn’t visiting TT and is heading to LSU. I wonder if this gives us our answer on what Soresby decided?

If he’s ready to make a deal with LSU , I’d get him now. Brendan Soresby would be nice but we can’t risk losing Leavitt if he’s ready to sign a Soresby is leaning toward Tech because of girlfriend.

Technically yea. Health is the issue.

May be better when healthy. Lisfranc injury is difficult to recover for QBs

Great, another injured QB we’ll overpay for
