Since the end of the season, LSU has been formally announcing on social media which current players have agreed to return to the team next season.

The latest is freshman defensive end Damien Shanklin.


Shanklin, a former four-star recruit from Indianapolis, Ind., played in five games this season and recorded two sacks against Southeastern La.

Here's a full list of all the players LSU has announced as returning in 2026:

Still hate that random players coming back for their second year of college football is now front page tigersroppings news. That state of the sport is sad that even low experience freshmen simply saying “I will continue to play for the school I have only spent 1 year at” is now news rather than the expected norm
