Anyone here into the 1632verse?

There are some great books in the series, especially the first several. The ones by Eric Flint alone are the best, and a new one just came out. There are books and short stories written mainly by other authors that get bogged down in historical and world-building minutiae, so I've started to avoid those unless they are reviewed well. All the books are pretty much self contained, so you can stop at anytime without feeling like the series is incomplete, or just skip the "side stories".
