I have been a fan of his for several years now,(since his Jonah Hex comic back in 90's) especially his short stories...the SOB is funny as frick. I honestly can't think of anything he's written that I didn't like, in any of the multiple genres he writes in.
I had NO idea there was a Hap and Leonard series on TV. I loved the H&L adventures that I've read...unfortunately, I couldn't sit through an entire episode-not cuz it was bad, it just didn't capture the mood of the stories AT ALL to me. The books are a riot. I hope no one got turned off on him based on the show.
My favorite is "Dead in the West" and any stories with Reverend Jedidiah Mercer. Kind of like King's Roland Deschain but gives negative integer fricks.
Anyone else here a fan?
