Letterman: The Last Giant of Late Night

This was a really good read. Focuses on the early years of the show (the great NBC years when it was a show that really mattered).
Hits Letterman hard when it comes to his personal weaknesses and quirks, but it isn't cruel about it.
Highly recommended. Especially if you're in the age group that was there watching in the early 80's.

He way over stayed his welcome.
Went from cool and young to old and trying too hard.
Lived long enough to see himself become the villain.
Had a rapist wit. Because he was a rapist.
I'll pick it up this weekend. Love these kinds of books.

How exactly was he a rapist?

I'm not sure that question was phrased well
Craig Ferguson was pretty great at late night. I didn't see his show until after it was over. His dealing with women is hilarious
