If anyone has a recommendation for a book that has a snaller focus - maybe on a specic person, spy thing, or squad, single campaign, etc. Id be very interested in some recommendations.
Grant by Ron Chernow is my favorite book I’ve ever read. Follows his life through childhood to death all through the war and his presidency etc.
Thanks, i'll check that out - also if there are any lesser known names or players on the military side that anyone else knows.

Conceived In Liberty is the ultimate history book.
Covers 1500s or so up until the end of the revolution.
Exceptionally thorough. Most of the book deals with early colonial America and the revolution
Warning. It’s gigantic
