I've been on the Daryl getting Lucilled train since they announced Negan was appearing in the season finally. But it's hard to bet against the person that got it in the comics (even though a lot of people escape their comic fates on the show).
ETA: But I also don't think we will find out until leaks start popping up once they start filming next season's episodes sometime in mid to late summer.

I'm really pretty pissed we aren't going to find out for another six months. Is this just a way to get out of having to show the brutality on tv? The screen blurs or goes black and we just hear it, then next season we see who is missing? frick that.

The rumor is that we will see it out of the eyes of the person meeting Lucille. So it'll be pretty brutal, maybe even more so from that vantage point. If they do shoot it so that we can't deduce who it is, it'll just be for the same reason everyone else does crap like that, just to screw with the audience in the name of artistic effect.

Last week they had a surprise guest, and it turned out to just be Sasha, who had maybe 2 minutes of airtime on that WD episode, and definitely didn't die. And in a couple of episodes back, they also had an announced guest that turned out to be someone that died in that WD episode. So they apparently threw a coupe of curve balls this season in their guest announcements to make us 2nd guess it.

For years, I thought it was going to be Glenn. I have waited a long time for this episode simply because of the amount of gore that goes along with the scene in the comics.
It would make the non-comic fanbase melt pretty hard, would be the biggest melt in s long time, imo. Either Daryl or Glenn biting the dust will be epic melt doh.
