He already launched an attack on the prison that failed, although the one in the comics worked in killing almost everyone and driving Rick out.
I guess he could sabatoge the prison and end in a standoff between him and Rick. The question being will they let Michonne get the kill, or Rick. Or even Carol looking for redemption before dying? So many ways they can go with this.

It's been probably the worst part of the series for me.
Before it felt "real." Now it feels like a comic book. People speaking in old english, knights, and a freakin tiger (so stupid) is starting to border on absurd.
I'm hoping they will put Negan down and then move forward, but I wonder how much more they can really do. It seems there will always be a Governor-Negan threat that they will have to deal with and story becomes too repetitive.

Well Herschel and Michonne are going out on a run at the end of Interment. Anyone thinking Herschel is about to be Tyreese'd with Michonne's sword?

that really makes no sense to me, but obviously the conflict won't start/end this soon in the event, but I mean, why couldn't the hilltop people just say screw this guy and keep fighting with Rick?

I am completely expecting this, and it will be one of the most heartwrenching moments of the series.
After he survived that nastiness in Internment, he is going to get the Tyreese treatment like in the comics.
Remember Ty and Michonne went off together in the comics (which is what caused Ty to get caught)

I was just rereading 115 and I caught something Negan said. He said that the Saviors were keeping them all safe. Now, Negan has seen every group's setup, and knows very well that each one can handle themselves against the roamers. Negan has also always been for the most part, honest with everyone. An a-hole bully but still honest. So my question is, what if Negan is actually having the Saviors hold back something/someone that makes even him look like Mickey Mouse?

I have came up with a new theory based on what we know is going to happen.
I am beginning to think Carol found the bodies already killed. Either the way they were killed or the knife laying beside them makes her believe it was Lizzy (hence her comments to her before and after). So Carol burnt the bodies and took the fall. The twist though is Lizzy didn't kill them. Go back to the Comic Con trailer everything in it was from the first 2/3 episodes except one brief scene Bob with blood on his hands in the bathroom. So unless they deleted it why hasn't it been shown yet? My theory is he killed them. And we will find out in the next two governor standalones he is affiliated with the Gov somehow. Hence that explains why we can have Carol back with the group and filming right now with Tyreese at a safe house with kids (presumably after the prison falls).
