This boards logic when it comes to coaches is funny as frick. “We want this guy, he’s an amazing coach” the next day said coach has bad game “this dudes trash, we don’t want him”

Verge said himself they are going to hire the best available options. In no way possible is the best available a NFL assistant who is in his first season as a defensive coordinator. His college coaching experience was just one season as director of player development at LSU, which is a fancy title for a office runner for the other staffers. He has zero experience in modern college football with NIL and the Portal. He is a smart guy and will likely be a HC someday but he isn't ready now, especially for college. Frank Wilson has a better chance of being hired than Sheppard does and his chance is near zero.
