I say frick no in allowing Chavis to bring his coaches over here. Les Miles is probably like, know your place bitch, I'm the head coach. If he didn't say that, he needs to. We need a great recruiter on the defensive side and so far, we have none. I'm sure LSU can get someone better than Brooks in both coaching/recruiting considering how much they were offering Coach O...
You seen what happened this year when "buddies" got their chance.

oh, dont misunderstand me here. I'm just saying bringing Brooks or Slade is 100% settling for UT mediocrity. Atleast try to hire the best available, we don't need to appease da Chief just because he has a cool nickname and UT coaches are more loyal than Miles to their BBQ buddies.

I agree that we should hire the best available, but you seem to think that that automatically discounts anyone who ever worked with a coach. What if, in fact, Chavis' buddies are the best available coaches?
btw, I know less than nothing about any of Chavis' coaches or any other position coaches for that matter

What exactly is the difference between Brooks and Slade? Are they both D-Line coachs at UT?

Slade is the DB coach and UT fans think about as highly of him as we do Pevito.
Brooks is the DT coach and by all accounts well thought of. There is also a DE's coach, but it looks like he is primarily a recruiter.
