There is conflicting info. Sonny says an offer is on the table for Bo Davis and he has until Monday to let Les know.

well depends how you look at it. Davis would be good to get off his staff for recruiting but he is not a great position coach.

I would vastly prefer the DL slot be a recruiter slot and the DB slot be a stud coach.

I'd prefer the opposite, it starts up front. If you don't have a good front four, you can have a amazing secondary look mediocre. If you have a great front four, you can make a mediocre secondary look amazing.

yeah, probably so. I was hoping to get someone who could do both well for DL coach, a real good position coach at DB and get Tony Hughes for that extra position mainly to recruit.

I hope Robinson is gone and get Haley/Vance Joseph, then let this guy coach DTs/ST or something...

they're saying Joseph is out of the picture now, which sucks. I think we should throw some more money at him.

Seriously, if you're going to offer Coach O 600k+, throw some money at Joseph. If we get him, I think it locks JJ up no question too, which wouldn't hurt.

I can't imagine they're offering this clown 600k. Maybe Haley but I have no clue what type of recruiter he is.

I totally agree. Joseph seems perfect for us with NFL and S.Louisiana ties.

If Miles is already telling the "Chief" who he can or can't have on his defensive staff, then the Chavis hiring WILL NOT work in the long run. I'd take Dan Brooks over Haley or Davis any day of the week. He has A LOT more experience and has worked with Chavis for a long time.........

I agree. Brooks and chavis have produced some really quality players together. I think chavis will do much better at LSU with the staff he is comfortable with. chavis has alot to prove.....he wants to show he can win outside of tennesse. He knows football......let him be in the decesion process.

Good lord you are dumb as dirt.

It is all Miles' staff. Chief or any DC/OC can have input, but the HC makes hiring decisions not the coordinators.
