Dude you have no fricking idea who I am. I have been a huge fan for many years now, yes even when we sucked.

So you went to the games when we sucked, but now that we're just 9-3 you'll stay home????

I don't give a frick who you "think" you are, but that's NOT being a fan, and it sure as hell won't send any "message" to anyone.

Seriously, why would I pay good money to watch that fricking travesty again next year? I'll just watch it on tv. If enough people do this maybe Alleva will get the point.

If you are cancelling your season tickets, you will not be missed. They will be scooped up.

Oh don't be confused. He's not THAT pissed to go that far. No, instead he's just going to sit on them until in his opinion LSU is worthy of his actual presence again.

This is what pisses me off about some of these Tiger fans - they'll come on here and talk crap, but when stuff hits the fan, they aren't willing to really man up & take it. There are TONS of fans on the waiting list paying money hoping they'll get season tickets. Instead, all these great fans run their gums but sit on their tickets and talk about "sending a message".

sure, why not? Miles hasn't made an announcement, and he can always change his mind.

That said, I firmly believe that Miles has thought about replacing Crowton and is exploring options. Whether he pulls the trigger is another thing.

This isn't like the Malveto fiasco last year, when it was clear that those guys were in over their heads. Crowton has proven he can produce at LSU. But it has to be alarming that our two young QB's have not shown marked improvement.

Chicken,in order to teach, your pupil can only learn what he is capable of learning.JJ doesn't seem to understand defensive reads etc.Take away the ints and Lee seemed to be able to check into the right play and avoid delay of game penalties much better than JJ.Unfortunately,I feel Lee is emotionally ruined.I'm hoping the light comes on for JJ next year.

Several things come to mind on Crowton. First, I try to be a realist when it comes to numbers. Many times, you can try to find certain stats that make you feel better or worse about a particular situation.

There is no way LSU should be any near the 100's in total offense. However, I am not one that thinks we should always be in the top 20's. The only two SEC teams that are currently in the top 20's.....Florida and Arkansas.

Many teams that consistently rank very high in total offense play in conferences that are known for having very little defense. Again, there are exceptions to every case but for the most part, this is what you will find.

What one would hope to see is a team that is in the top 20 in defense, preferably top 10, but acceptable at top 20. For offense, as long as you are in the top 40, you have to figure your offense is pretty solid. Combine a top 40 offense with a top 20 defense and that typically means a great team.

With Crowton, there are varying opinions but I don't think anyone across college football, regardless of what team you support, would say a team ranked in the 100's of total offense is acceptable. If you see progress toward the end of the year, this is easier to accept....not easy...just a little easier because you think that bodes well for next year.

I haven't seen anything on our offense that would lead me to believe our offense will improve very much next year. We can only hope that 1) We will see a new OC or 2) Our scheme and teaching methods change dramatically allowing players to grasp the system. If they don't grasp the system, it would seem obvious another player should be given an opportunity.

I hope you're right. I can't stand to watch the offense any more. He needs to go to Memphis with Porter.

i'm curious to know what a mamou yan thought a few years ago?

this mamouian was happy to see an offense which lined up and ran the ball at people. Each year, Crowton has gotten farther and farther away from what made the 2007 offense so good. You realize that in 07, we ran the ball 35+ times in each game. Against UF we ran 57 times. I can't think of a single game this year where we ran 35 times, (and I'm not bringing my computer to the john to research it either) even though there were times when we had some success on 1st down, or in the first 1/2 by lining up in the "I", but didn't see it again the rest of the game/ series.

Right, because no one else in the country would buy up those tickets?

I am not going...blah blah blah...is always a pitiful argument when you have so many people waiting for tickets.

This is the key statement. QB development is the most important aspect of a college offense.

Probably one reason we didn't run was because our O-Line couldn't block anyone. 31 attempts and only 30 yds. 27 attempts and 40 yds. Tends to make you stay away from running the ball. In 2007 we had Big Herm & Helms on the O-Line and their replacements couldn't produce. JJ's 10 yd sack in Ole Miss game was result of new lineman not being able to block his man. O-Line was never in sync this year.

Where are your seats? I am interested in purchasing your tickets.

No kidding. Suck or not I would gladly purchase season tickets if I was able to get a set. SO if you want to get rid of yours, I'll take them and go to games whether we are horrible or not.
