I asked in another thread, would the LSU contract offset the buyout dollars ole miss would owe?

Why would Ole Miss owe a buyout to Kiffin?

Are y'all even listening to what y'all are saying?

Kiffin is the one leaving for another school. His contract ends and the one with LSU starts (if by some miracle he actually isn't staying at Ole Miss).

He doesn't get the entire contract from Ole Miss AND the new contract with LSU. That would only be the case if Ole Miss caused the departure.

Sexton is pulling the strings here. Kiffin has done nothing to void his contract and if he wants to announce his intentions to go to LSU(for LSU’s sake and his future team) but continue to coach Ole Miss, then Ole Miss must let him coach or negotiate a buyout for him to leave. Seems like you’re missing this point.

That’s my point as to why Ole Miss shouldn’t worry about owing a buyout to Lane if they want to fire him because they know he’s leaving for LSU.
