Yeah. I'm not signed up for anything LSU related on Rivals. Because Rivals is shite, and a relic of the early 2000's

Much like Oklahoma's last national championship.

So it does make sense that Oklahoma fan's still congregate at a washed up place like that. Talking about washed up years as a blue blood, with washed up Barry Switzer.

They're more smug than ever. Never seen a fan base so proud, yet they've accomplished very little in the last couple decades.

no extension for Riley

This here! It's optics and important. If Riley was 100% staying at OU they would have announced a raise and extension. Neither has happened so something is going on even if the sons and daughters of Geronimo don't want to admit it.

I figured your response would be something like this. Same tired talking points. Herping & derping.

It reminds me of Eminem in 8 mile:

Didn't you listen to the last round, meathead?
Pay attention, you're sayin' the same shite that he said
Matter of fact, dawg, here's a pencil
Go home, write some shite, make it suspenseful
And don't come back until somethin' dope hits you

And you guys call OU fans smug. The hilarity. I guess there aren't mirrors in LA.

He's not lying. Counter the "tired talking points" that OU won 6 of their NC's in 50's and 70's.

This. If each side wanted to maintain the relationship, they would come out with an extension. If he is unwilling to commit or tell LSU "No", you get silence. He is still considering, which is a bad sign for OU.

Although, nothing is "official" until it is.....

So glad we don't have this guy on staff anymore

"Coach O has set a new standard at LSU," athletic director Joe Alleva said in a statement. He has represented our institution and our state with great pride, on and off the field of play. He is well-deserving of this new contract, which should make clear our commitment to Coach O and the direction of our football program."

theyre very close to tennessee in terms of comparison

quote:

Oklahoma football claims seven national titles.

There are 11 unclaimed titles as well, depending on whom you ask: 1915, 1949, 1953, 1957, 1967, 1973, 1978, 1980, 1986, 2003, 2008.

The Sooners have also won 50 league championships over the years while not playing in the Southeastern Conference.

However, it hasn't won a national championship in over 20 years, and has yet to win a game in the College Football Playoff.

Currently, Tennessee football claims six official national championships: 1938, 1940, 1950, 1951, 1967 and 1998. They also have 8 unclaimed national titles (1914, 1927, 1928, 1931, 1939, 1956, 1985, 1989) The Vols have won 22 league championships over the years while playing in the Southeastern Conference

That's Woodward's quote. Not sure where you got that quote but it is word for word Woodward's after he gave O his raise.
