He admits that he "delegated down", should have known. The fact that he didn't know doesn't make him guilty. I'm not saying I agree or condone, I'm saying why not bring him in and offer a chance at redemption?

Because he's responsible for his football program. I don't really care what he knew or didn't, I really don't.
Facts are, his football players were predators on campus. He even took a transfer from Boise St. who had a pending rape charge, then tried to claim he didn't know

Nope, not at all. I've looked at both sides. I have several friends that are Baylor graduates, the information is very sketchy all around. And you may be right, LSU might be crucified for hiring him. But why not do things based on public opinion?

Briles' issues won't be the same here. He was in a position of power to cover things up. O ain't having any of that sht.
OC is no strong enough to run the program. I'd be ok with a second chance. Pretty sure he's had plenty of time to ponder what he did wrong in the past and what it costed him.

LSU is not in a position to hire someone like that. The only place that could possibly get away with it is a place like Bama. It would hurt LSU terribly with the amount of bad PR Briles would bring especially since LSU just changed coaches. Guilty or not Briles is just below Sandusky in the public eye.

The HS stuff is internet rumors. He never got in trouble for anything coaching for nearly 40 years. People get upset when you turn a never has been school into a dynasty

The same can be said for Fisher, and Paterno using the logic that everyone is with Briles. If he had truly covered up sexual assaults going on by his players he would be in prison.

Who really gives a shite about PR. Hire the man and if we beat Alabama you can flush the bad PR down the toilet. Jumbo let his QB play While facing rape charges and how many chances did good old les give his QB after getting into trouble multiple times before finally kicking him off the team. All head coaches turn a blind eye and everyone deserves a second chance.
