I've been knowing this Asst since before his HS days, so I don't believe he would make anything up. Maybe he was frustrated when he told me, I don't know, but I wouldn't want to cause him any undo negative attention.
I probably shouldn't have said it, but my point was I don't think LSU would be promising Del Rio Coach in Waiting status, as much as I'd like to see it.

That's the theory I have been thinking of the last 2 days. Its gotten too damn quiet. I bet they have their man locked up and it will leak out tomorrow evening. With the eventual announcement of a press conference sometimes Monday 11:00am -3:00pm. All eyes will be on college football Monday and this maximize exposure.

I have to give most LSU fans credit. I would be a nervous wreck with all the names brought up then dropped. Hell, the Muschamp thing was an ordeal and we seemed fairly locked in.
Hope y'all get Zook, he would be great at LSU (tbh with the talent drawn to LSU I think they will be tough whoever gets the job)

We have all basically thrown our hands up. Les has been very good at hiring assistants in the past, but he is losing support in BR and among the LSU fans. If he makes a good hire here, his outlook going into the future will be much more positive.
