Do you really need a link to show that UK had interest in a 5* recruit? You must not think very highly of your program. Every team in the country was interested - you have to at least stop and give pause on that kind of talent.
no, dude, you don't get it. every team in the country --- usc, miami, uf, auburn, georgia, tennessee, alabama, oklahoma, texas, fsu --- wanted willie
but, no, not kentucky, they're far too good and prissy to take an athlete like him. no way. they're just too good for that.

just because willie had zero interest in going to your irrelevant little football program doesn't mean that they didn't have interest in him

wtf....sure, UK may wanted Willimas, but no way they were going to offer the kid...but do you think every team is going to jump and get a 5* recruit with a major rap sheet?
Get a clue...why in the sam hell would any team take a risk on a player with the record like Williams...
Oh, some program did...and looked what happened.
Like I said...link up were UK offered Williams?
By the way...are you not a Gator fan?

go worry about getting on Catspause and smack down your Criminole friends...Damn Nole vs Gator bitch fest on the site!
Fool, I acknowledge UK may have interest...but come on...were we really going to chase that pipe dream and spend all the time and money to pursue him...also, knowing he is a questionable guy.
Don't get pissy because the Gators brought him in for an official vist, were he proceeded to get arrested.
UK never pursued him nor did they waste an offer to him.
Show me a damn link or STFU

no, of course not, there was no way willie was going to an irrelevant football program like kentucky
but don't act like brooks wouldn't take him if he did want to come

Obviously, you do not know Grandpa....so, would your boy not take Willie...or was it the visit on campus that sealed the deal.
Your a fool to think a coach was going to risk taking a player who has a past like Williams....not every coach is going to risk their reputation taking on Williams...if so, he would be in a Gainsville cell right now instead of hanging around Louisville.

Dude, I think you are totally missing the point. Everyone wanted Williams when he was a recruit. But the knock on Petrino is that he took him after he got dismissed from Miami. No one wanted him then.

willie had a perfectly clean record during his time at miami
no one wanted him then because he wasn't very good and still carried a lot of baggage from before.

mike, who have you heard about point shaving allegations. i live up here and have heard of one name. interested to see if it was the same one i have heard

Huh. Maybe we are all wrong. Seems like Kragthorpe is the one that took him, not Petrino. My bad.
Williams Tranferring to Louisville

Linebacker Willie Williams, once one of the nation's top recruits who was controversially accepted into Miami in 2004 despite off-field troubles before and during his recruitment, has transferred to Louisville, a university source said Thursday.
Williams has been attending West Los Angeles Community College in Culver City, Calif., where he played last season. He is expected to enroll during the summer and be eligible to play outside linebacker under new Louisville coach Steve Kragthorpe in the coming season.

Be careful with Petrino...Louisville is still cleaning up the mess he left behind that Kragthorpe is cleaning up...allegations of point shaving, players using illeagal drugs, players running amuck the program, and Petrino was known to take players that were borderline questionable in academics and character.
Poor Kragthorpe is constantly suspending players and kicking some of the team.
Petrino is good....but borderline with his decisions to get the team good...also, known to sweep things under the rug.
Good luck with him...but, do not be surprised if trouble arises out of FayetteNam (and you thougt Nutt had issues)
You have outlined my reservations. I was kinda hoping for Muschamp.
And good mention of FayetteNam.
