Not big...yet. It'll grow more every day, growing exponentially after the SEC CG.

That's why I don't think LSU lets this linger much beyond next Saturday, especially if LSU is 12-1 at that point.

Too much on the line for that kind of distraction.

Carr's timing really sucks. It make me wonder if he is trying to cause Miles to lose a NC out of personal spite. Carr is a prick.

true winners don't let distractions get in their way...I doubt Dorsey, Doucet, Flynn, Hester, Steltz, et. al. will be less-focused on the task at hand.

I totally agree. Champions overcome. If these guys let this distract them, then they are not the champions I thought they were. But I actually think this could be a rallying point for the team, you can even see that in some of their comments earlier in the week. The only people it's a distraction to are the fans, media, and Les having to deal with the media. Lucky for us, none of those groups ever gets across the white lines.

Could end when Michigan names its new coach as soon as Monday.

i'm very worried this crap will cost us a NC

What is your reason for it? What has Miles done to cause this? Michigan's coach quit and LM has old ties there, thus the situation.

If you guys say what he hasn't done will cost us a game, ex. come out and say he is not interested. Well, possibly but he wants to be wanted at least, then take it or turn it down.

To me the reason we may lose is something that he has not done and it is to get a complete game out of his team by limiting PENALTIES , getting Pelini to get a more aggressive approach on Def. like the beginning of the year...I don't want to hear about injuries. The system has changed...we look bad with our first teamers. If they are hurt, play our backups but maintain that aggressive attack. On offense, get Hester in the game but put in the weapons early....Did you see that first drive in the Ole Miss game. Why do anything else?....all of our 5-6 playmakers touched the ball and we walked down the field with ease.

This is the statement from Les I would like to see soon:

"There is too much speculation about what my job prospects are. It is hurting our team, the LSU Fighting Tigers. Therefore I wish to make it known I am now in disuccussions to extend my contract at LSU and I have every reason to expect an agreement will be reached in the coming weeks. I expect to be the head ball coach at LSU for some time to come. I have to be honest and say that perhaps, under different circumstances, I would have considered talking to at least one other great institution. That is not the case now. I have instructed my agent not to entertain any discussion about my future job status other than at LSU, and I will do likewise. I look forward to our team competing with quality opponents in our upcoming games."

Miles hasn't done anything wrong here. Carr retired and the MEDIA has caused a distraction, not Les Miles.

That's not the whole story, is it?
Miles could stop the madness by simply saying: "I'm staying at LSU."

It's not that difficult.

Only difficult if you want to go to Mich.

He could if he were utterly, irrevocably committed to staying. But he might be willing to listen to an offer, if it comes, which is hardly an unreasonable position to have.

Yeh the media started it, but Miles no matter what his decision is needs to finish it.
