The table is certainly set well for a good coach to come in do great things. All of our offense, all of our defense..=..soph's and frosh...

I hate to lose Muschamp. Tubbs can go. Petrino is likely the first name on the list but I am holding out hope that Brian Kelly will get a interview. If Turner Gill is available I would hope he gets an interview as well. Auburn will land on its feet due to the 6 million dollar buyout. That pretty much ensures Auburn to have enough coin to go after a good coach. I hope its Kelly but I cant seem to get any Auburn faithful on board. They are spouting off Spurrier and crap like that. If Auburn does go the young coach route then maybe we can pony up some dough and hire Tenutu to replace CWM. Tubbs wanted to stay at Auburn but he wanted too much for an averge 8-4 or 9-3 tenure IMO.

Borges- I think it is time for him to go. He could go to the arena league with Cox.

I tell you what, though... Sexton got big money out of Arkansas this week if all holds true.

I woould take Sylvester Croom over any coach out there. That is just my opinion. I think he is a class act and I think he actuall possesses the things that have become buzz words for other people in our society. I think he has character, he is humble, he has class and he is a genuine man. I can think of noone I would rather have my son spending time with while away from home than someone like coach Croom.

Kwaj, it's the Sexton client way. He's been doing it to Auburn. I know ya'll are happy with him and you've kept him there awhile, but I would let him go at this point. This will be a bad year to be trying to hire a coach, with all the high profile jobs, but what year is a good year? Next year it could be Notre Dame or Penn State, the year after Bama and FSU, the next maybe Florida (Meyer has flirted with lots of jobs and the NFL), so you just never know, but I think that Auburn and Tubby have too much bad blood, right now.

Having said that, I don't think he'd be a good fit at LSU. Nebraska or Arkansas, maybe....

Good points, Ace.

I'd like it if he would like to stay, but if he don't then he can go. Much like LSU, Auburn will always have great talent. We will find someone that wants to coach it...
