I know delusions run strong over there, so I was just showing you to a nice warm and friendly place.

It is not really the school itself that is stepping stone, but the fit(As I stated). Happens all across the country in similar programs every year
Do me a favor and list all the coaches that went on to bigger and better things from LSU

FWIW, I think Gus just fricked up last year. He should have taken one of the other jobs when his marketability was at its peak, and he just fricked up in thinking that he could get a better job.
When push came to shove this year, he couldn't get a job worth a damn. Arkansas State is all that was left given his stock decrease.
Also, I'm not convinced that Gus was ever officially offered any other jobs besides Arky State.

coaching changes board (to my knowledge lsu isn't changing any coaches so that even begs the question fo what you're doing here)...i know the colors confused you.
Yeah, tigerdroppings is an AU board. lsu fans can't be interested in any coaching changes because they don't have coaches leaving.

No one is calling it an auburn board...and surely you're not this dense...but the coaching changes board is not an lsu board.
Or do you propose that only lsu fans can post on any of these boards...i'm sure the admins would lvoe that...it'd do wonders for the revenue steam.
or do you think you deserve speical treatment becuase you're an lsu fan? Basically i'm trying to see any form of logic coming from you...he'll flawed logic would be a step up.

pretty much how i look at it too.

See you are missing my argument. You ad others are saying how terrible Gus is for passing Vandy. Explain to me how that is such a bad thing? Historically speaking and specifically speaking how many coaches since Gerry D have made it out of there to bigger programs?
i'm not saying he is terrible. I'm saying it doesn't make sense why a guy would take 1/2 million dollar pay cut. he could have made 1.3 or more at vandy with the same opportunity as he has with ark st. (turn them around, get a better gig.) that's the point. outside of freeze, ark st. isn't a coaching mill either.
Actually, it probably would have been easier to turn vandy around than to follow success at ark st.
i don't see many coaches or people in any industry leaving $500,000 on table on a regular basis. i don't care how you spin it, that doesn't make sense.

i'm not the one who made a statement to go back to the rant. go search the origin of the statement. An AU fan telling me where to go because they have more of a "right" to be here? please. If you want all AU fans and agreement, then got to a AU board. If you can't understand that logic, then you choose not to.
i may not agree with you, however, i haven't told you to get lost, have I? Nor have I called you a retard and other names. I think i treat you guys with more respect than you do me. When someone doesn't agree with you guys, this is what you do? call names, tell fans of the team tigerdroppings was created for to get off?

No it doesn't, but let's take a look at a couple of things.
1. Offense struggles in 2011 more to do with experience in most positions and talent in some.
2. His wife decides to spill her guts on Gus and some players. Insulting them in some cases. I brushed it off at first, but image is huge in this industry ad may have hurt him.
3. He interviewed for several jobs and I think maybe he realized he needed a different route to a bigger programs job so he goes closer to home where he is a killer recruiter. Has the contacts and the team has a lot of players returning.
4. Gus Malzahn wanted to be a HC so bad so he can have full control over his system ala Chip Kelly that he took a job that was available.
The way Franklin looks at Vandy he just may make it out, but there was similar excitement with Johnson as well and it died. Is it hard to understand a man leaving 500,000.00? No doubt, but I think several circumstances dictated it.
Business men have to take steps back everyday so that they can be more successful down the road. At the end of the day it's not as spectacular as many are making it and was the best move for Gus in his mind. Time will finish telling this story.

You made this inference. It was meant because delusions run strong over there, which I made in a follow up comment

Well your inference was HC's So your argument really has no logic as he is still in the Auburn coaching line, as well as, Tulsa and Arky.
