I never said Les won't get a new contract. I said there is no leverage for LSU with his guaranteed money. PERIOD.
unless he never got a Rollover, which I somehow doubt since you and your sources claimed he'd be owed $11+ million AFTER this season to be bought, it means he got it at least once. Somehow, this isn't in the minutes. Refusal of it also happened then according to your number, which means that also wasn't in the minutes.
In the end, LSU's leverage would be that he can't get it rolled over past 2014. His money max right now is $15 Million. LSU would be stupid to try and give him more money (either by more years or bigger salary per year) to simply minimize this. They have leverage by making him finish out a contract that can't go beyond 2014.

I imagaine in imagination land where you two tards live, Mallett is allowed to play the whole game.
Oh yeah, I forgot...it was Cam Newton who put the hit on Mallett and took him out, so no Newton equals Mallett playing the whole game. Pure genius.....

Sid,
He made nearly $4 million to finish 3rd in the SEC West. Sorry if you can't come to terms with that.

Those amendments have to go through the BOS, and yet not once has it shown up in their minutes. Any change to a coaching contract must go through them BP, so either you're full of shite or just very uninformed on how that system works.
Wrong. Only the President had to okay the 2 year extension, which was done. If the President decided to NOT rollover, then the Chancellor had to agree.
Nice job blasting someone as full of shite or uninformed, when you are clearly wrong.

And it was Cam Newton who raped T Bob Hebert all day en route to body slamming Jordan Jefferson over and over. And it was Cam Newton who manhandled Drake Nevis and co. all day on the other side of the ball. And Cam Newton who elected not to throw against a horrible AU secondary all day. etc etc

Depends on the rest of the nation. Sometimes it'll earn you quite a bit of $$$
What does firing your coach after finishing the season #10 in the nation with wins over both Urban Meyer and Nick Saban do for you? More harm than good -- that's what.

The approval wouldn't have to be made by the BOS, but it would still be required to be acknowledged as they are required to put out any changes in the contracts. It's that simple.
I never said that he wasn't given the raises. According to BP's number a while back, he got it once.
If that is true, his contract can only go until 2014. It can't rollover past that based on several lawyers who posted on here and went through the contract.
Thus, LSU is not going to benefit from restructuring it because Les ain't giving up his guaranteed money.

bowl games. 10-2 is often enough to win the SEC west OR play in the sugar

I am completely at terms with Miles.
His team outperformed my and your expectations this year. A change in OC gives a fighting chance to improve again, but I believe a change at QB is paramount.
3rd in SECW is a strange metric.
If we won the SECW with an 8-4 record would you be happy?
