Something arkansas hasn't done since 1999.

On its face, this would be a great move for all parties.

Ouch.
(Don't bring up the fact that we fired our coach after the 10th game that year and beat Arky 35-10 with Hal Hunter, aka the GOAT, as interim HC)

Les' interview will look something like this:
His fan boys will say its because he's a secret genius and not just him being him.

I don't see a binder.
Funny thing if that happens--Minnesota has 2 backup freshman DBs who played in the Holiday Bowl who were from Dutchtown. They weren't recruited by LSU and they would still wind up playing for Miles 2,000 miles from home.

I actually think it would be a perfect fit for everyone. LSU could stop paying him, Les could coach again which he wants to do.
It's a weak division with low comp. Les' old school philosophy could work well there. Get a good RB or two, a bunch of big Midwest boys on the line, a QB that can hand off, and toss dive to Les' heart's desire.
Les has a good ole boy schtick with a side of goofy weirdness. It should work well there from a personality and image perspective.
I don't think he will do great there and he won't be able to compete from a coach or team standpoint with Meyer's Ohio State or Harbaugh's Michigan but I could see Les getting 7-5 and 8-4 seasons.

Is this like unemployment? Just got to look like you are job hunting to keep the money coming in.

If he gets the job it will expose him for the fraud he was. He won on LSU's ability to recruit top notch athletes-most from LA and TX. He will get NONE of those recruits to join him in Minnesota. Additionally, I dare say MN does not have top notch talent alone to compete in their conference and to cover up for Miles's X AND O shortcomings. A team like MN needs a coach that can outscheme as they won't be able to beat anyone on superior talent- the latter of which made Les Miles and future generations of his family very wealthy

Would be a step down from Fleck.
They might want to look around but Les may have a chance at getting Western Michigan.

I don't believe he wants a job, just think he is playing the game to keep his buyout money rolling in.

He is in BR attending his kids games. All Rumours

I grew up in Slidell and live in Minneapolis. Minnesota does not have Louisiana talent, not even close, but if a coach can keep their in-state talent there, guys like Larry Fitzgerald, Laurenitis, Seantrel Henderson, etc, it would be a game changer. Not up to the level of OSU or Michigan, but would make a huge difference for that program
