ML did coach football. He coached the first Parkview football team way back in the day. I think he might have won one game in his first two seasons.

Neil Weiner and Warren Capone have no business being on this list. Neither one of them have done anything to deserve this. Name recognition that's it!

Kenny Guillot took Parkview from a joke to a powerhouse. He took over in 2000 the year before PBS won 1 game. He has avg 10 wins a season and is always making a threat to make it to the dome.

Guillot and his staff do the best job of "coaching" in the area. His coordinators do a great job. He is the best coach in Baton Rouge and so is his staff.

Eric Held are you kidding me. Not even close. Average coach at best. You must be smoking choupique.

Are you serious? Weiner gets the most out of what he has to work with?

You do realize he has had: Travis Minor, Major Applewhite, Warrick Dunn, amongst many other players and he has still NOT won a State Championship.

I'm not saying Weiner isn't a "good coach," but I am certainly saying he isn't a great coach. A great coach would have won at least ONE state championship with the talent he has seen over his years at Catholic.

agree.. but list a top 5... since all you seem to be able to do is bash other coaches.

Here you go Choupique:
Guillot
Edwards
Nettles
Dale Weiner
Mistretta

Not bashing just stating my opinion. Held is not in the top five.

Sid Edwards took Redemptorist to a State Title in Football and Basketball the same year, several years ago. He then went to Jesuit in New Orleans and is now at Central in Baton Rouge.

Wtf Guillot took over in 1998 and the year before (1997) Parkview went 12-1 and made the quarterfinals.

Sid has been very successful everywhere he has been. Maybe it's because he is a great recruiter and hires good coordinators. Even if, I would love to have him at my kid's school. What about the coach at St. Johns in Plaquemine?
