Depends on the team, the schedule, and how they're trending.
I just don't see it with OM this year.

Let me guess, you’re the catcher

50 seems generous. Given the level of stupidity we’ve seen since the coaching search started, the bar probably belongs closer to the 20–30 range

If he can't beat them as you say with no chance, then why would LSU want him. Going 11-1 and only losing to GA, scoring over 30 on them in Athens, they have a equal chance then anyone else.

So we are thinking that after OM beats Miss St, it will the first time in history Ole Miss had a 11 win regular season, OM will be going to the playoffs, with a good chance to win a NC, new contract that equals LSU s offer on the table, plus 25 mil NIL money, and we think he is going to stand up to the mic and say I'm taking the LSU HC position and walk away from OM with a chance for a NC.
Yes. If Lane was staying, then he would've signed the extension on Friday. Every action Kiffin has taken suggests he is leaving. The only thing that suggests he's staying is other people's feelings that they couldn't leave if they were in that position. The reality is most of you that think that way would've signed the extension and put the issue to bed weeks ago. Lane hasn't and it's not for more money or to troll. He wants to leave. His refusal to commit to Ole Miss and the actions of his family point all this out.
Don't over think it.

LK is smart and plays the long game.
Unfortunately for them, OM isn’t the long game. They barely won every single quality win this season.

I hate to say it but he's playing LSU. He is not walking away from OM and a chance for the playoffs and a NC.
this choad definitely catches.

I’ll play devils advocate.
What if he feels an occasional playoff appearance is OM’s ceiling and multiple NC’s is LSU’s ceiling?
What if he truly believes that recruits still want to play for blue bloods, big lights in the biggest stadiums?
What if LSU’s compensations along with NIL commitments far outweigh what OM is offering?
It isn’t always about this one season. It sucks for anyone affiliated with OM to have to go through this, and they may win out in the end, but this next move of his is life changing and likely his last move. Whether it be OM or LSU or UF, if he’s winning he’s likely retiring there.
