I think Miles certainly had influence on the offense.
I also think that it is the offensive coordinators job to take that influence and make it successful. People who think LSU's biggest problem on offense was playcalling really don't know what they are talking about, IMO. The biggest problem was the execution of the passing game.
I think Crowton will do better when he has full control of the offense. I also think Crowton was pretty poor at working with Miles and putting together an offense that executed well. Miles' influence certainly didn't complicate our offense. If anything, it simplified it. Yet, we were unable to execute at a high enough level on offense.
Wow, great summarization!!

You really think that is Miles? We didn't do it under Jimbo.
I'm just saying.. The option will be called in 2011
we can all pray that a new OC will bench JJ for Mett....
If the option is called please god be shep or ware.

Has anyone posted on their boards the "trend post" that the Oregon fan gave us in 07? That should lower their expectations a little. Or has anyone just gone on there and explained what our offense has looked like the past 2 seasons?
They don't care
They think they stole crowton

2) "All" LSU fans did not want to run him out of town. Only a handful of them who are all looking for an excuse why LSU failed in other areas.
No pretty much "All" lsu fans wanted him gone.

there are a number of media types saying that developing QB's is not a strength of Crowton's
What about Tim Rattay at La Tech?? He holds several NCAA records, including the NCAA Division I-A record for average passing yards per game with 386.2, at the time was first in NCAA history with 12,643 yards of total offense, which is now second to Colt Brennan of Hawaii. He is also in the top 5 of every offensive category. He was in the top 10 voting for the Heisman in 1998. He broke school records as a senior with 4,943 yards and 46 touchdowns to finish second in NCAA history in yardage.
So how is it that he cannot develop a QB?? Everybody knows our QB situation has been shite for 3 years.

Why shouldn't it? As long as it's not something we base our offense around, why not sprinkle it in to give the defense a different look?

jefferson proved to be an adequate runner. if he can get a real QB coach and put in work.. and become an adequate passer, i absolutely want him to start.
