Well, you knew so much last week and the week before and now you know nothing.......hmmmmmmmmmmm. Maybe so.
Even if you do know, I don't expect you to tell us. Maybe the the sources the paper got that info from is lying.
I suspected it last Friday when the admins on a UM board indicated contact had been made. Their sources supposedly come from the "Miles Camp".

I still kind of think that if anyone is contacting Miles its his old playing buddies...same ones that stirred up things before. If thats the case I wouldn't know about it...
I can say is that i'm 99% sure that an offer has not been made. I do think that if Michigan comes hard it could still happen, but like I've said before I have no proof that Michigan has or is going to come...Plain and simple.
I have heard that Martin could be pushed out of the search.

My wife has a friend in the Athletic Dept. up in Ann Arbour (nothing top level or anything), but they were talking today and apparently people in the Dept. are under the impression that the President has taken over the search and is sitting in on all calls and interviews.
Not sure what that all means.

Well, the paper says that the call was made by both Bill Martin and Mary Sue Coleman. And I don't doubt that Wangler would be in contact with Miles.
Maybe not but none of us do.
I've read that basically Mary Sue Coleman has taking the reigns over this search over. And if they want Miles, Carr and David Brandon are supposedly the ones who need to be pushed out and have no influence over it.
Like I said, I'm not hating on you. You seem like a good dude, love like a brother and I'm certainly not trying to insinuate you aren't a trustworthy person but I understand you just may not feel comfortable confirming certain things. And that's okay. You say you honestly don't know and that may be true, but it's kinda weird how you knew so much the past 2 weeks and now you really don't know much. We'll see.

Another couple things her friend said that seemed interesting.
1. Carr has not been around since Friday morning.
2. A lot of Alums have been calling and stopping by.
Again, have no idea if this is at all related to things that concern us, but it made me think for a while.

It's not that I don't know much...It's that nothing has happened...
I mean I don't know what I'm supposed to be knowing if that makes sense...
Has Michigan come calling...Not sure...I think they may have made a feeler call (I'm not sure...guessing based on what I know) but there has not been serious talks from what I know.

I'd figure you'd know if contact was made. You could confirm that no contact had been made the past 2 weeks, but not now?
Because if you say no contact has been made, that article contradicts it.

i think the fact that coleman is getting involved is interesting. she's the one responsible for ferentz's gigantic salary at iowa, i wonder if she will throw the bank at miles to try to please the upset donors/alumni.

i think at this point, michigan has already screwed over recruiting and it would be better to lose a couple commits and just wait until after the title game if they want miles. i don't see any reason for them not to wait until after the title game if this isn't resolved in a week or so...

They may have.....just not to your knowledge.
In fact, some papers even said they were working on details of the deal but Michigan wouldn't assure him the job before Saturday.

I really think some of his old college buddies were feeding him info. No idea what happened behind the scenes...I can just tell you no one from the University of Michigan ever called.

Strange night here in Ann Arbor. The info/leaks were coming at a steady pace over the last 2 weeks, Ferentz call, Schiano stuff, the call to Miles on Friday, the call with Miles today--I'm not claiming to be an insider but all the boards here were getting good, if limited leaks and then tonight all the "sources", "leaks" and information just dried up! not a peep out of anyone--the silence is shocking! What to make of all this? We'll sleep on it and see if tomorrow has any real "news"

Well, I for one am not worried about this one bit. If Miles is a man of his word, he will be here next year. If not, then he will forever be painted a liar the likes of Nick Saban. That will never go away for Miles. Since this would not happen until after the National Championship game, LSU would then be in good shape to hire Jack Del Rio. No problem either way, although I would prefer Miles live up to his word and stay at LSU. The only real problem with this story lingering on is the ability for rival coaches to use the rumors to negative recruit against LSU, which we know has already happened.
