but i'm curious why you and sfp are definitely saying next season will be terrible and need "excuses".

i didn't say we would be terrible

if we are terrible like this year, the "young" excuse should be wearing thin, though

i never said he was awesome. i simply stated that he holds the LSU win record.

It really is like arguing with a 4 year old.

You've mentioned Charlie McClendon multiple times over the last few days and how Miles is on the verge of breaking his career win record. Clearly you think he is special or you wouldn't have brought him up so much or defended him when people have "bashed" him as you put it.

pretty sure that's true at most every school in this era

2 of the worst offensive games in LSU history have happened under Miles as well.

Good point, but Jennings is no where close to ever being able to lead a top offense in school history so pardon my concern.

Now of Miles puts Harris in and really let's him go, I think we make the playoffs the next two years. I'm that optimistic.

We won't be terrible.
It was painfully obvious we were in a rebuilding year last year and still suffering from a record number of underclassmen leaving early the year before.

We will go back to old LSU football.
Elite D, and just good enough offense to win the games in the last second. Then everyone will regret wanting to get rid of Miles until the next rebuilding season and we will have this conversation all over again.

if jennings starts all next year, we'd have wasted half of harris's eligibility, with 1 more year of jennings on the way

Do you really think he is any worse than JJ? The only difference is that our young D FINALLY came together mid way through the season.
They will be close to 2011 good next year, especially if some of these juniors stay.

You are one of those "miles is sitting the true freshman heisman candidate on the bench" guys aren't you?

let me clarify then since some people have trouble understanding context....it won't happen while Miles is here.

JJ as a true soph:

2166 yards (61.5% @ 7.3 ypa), 17/7

AJ as a true soph:

1460 yards (48.8% @ 6.85 ypa), 10/7

JJ was better than Jennings no doubt about it. Jennings has got worse as the season went on. Think about that. The dude got dominated by New Mexico St and got shut out by team who had lost 17 straight SEC games.

no i am one of those "anthony jenning is either a terrible QB or the system we're using is terrible for him" and "harris is clearly better at what we're running and we're wasting his career the way we handled him this year"
