Finally an intelligent auburn fan. If I was an auburn, and thank God I’m not, I’d be pissed if my schools first target was Kiffin lol. He’s a decent settle hire but you should be aiming higher. Is your athletic department just that dysfunctional currently?

I don’t know but I’m sure they will. If I were them I’d just focus on the facts. Kiffin is a good coach but not elite and they should be able to do better.

Of course there has been an offer. Do you know how contract negotiations work? It takes alot of back and forth before a deal is reached. Ole Miss didn’t offer a new contract for shits and giggles.

Exactly. When the name first surfaces on message boards it means the job has been offered and if that guy doesn’t get hired it’s because he turned you down. The internet doesn’t lie. If we all know a guy is being linked to a job then clearly that school has made an offer. And when someone else gets hired it’s because the rumored guy rejected your school bc nobody wanted the job.

The formal offer and contract come after the terms are agreed to by both parties.

If you think a school ever spins missing on a coaching hire, I can't help you.
If Auburn doesn't hire Kiffin, you'll never see anything from the university and the stuff that will pop up on message board will be 95% BS. Auburn has no true insiders that no anything. It's locked down after Jay Jacobs left.
