All of the stats you listed - I don't disagree with. He can run an offense. But i disagree where you talk about his resume. I do not see anything that shows he is prepared for LSU. There are so many more qualified coaches than him it is laughable that people hold him in this high regard. You just want to find a diamond in the rough and say i told you so. That's all it can be. Nothing logical says he needs to be our coach.

There are shinier fricking diamonds in the rough! Glenn Schuman has never been a head coach but the only 2 head coaches he has ever worked under over his 18 years in the business (only 35 years old) have been Nick Saban and Kirby Smart. He ran football operations at Alabama in years they won the NC. I would say he is better equipped to handle LSU than the HC at N. Texas and Incarnate Word.
Finally someone with some brain cells.
And for the record, as I’ve already started, Morris may be awesome. But if you’re thought process is “well he’s unproven so he’ll be cheap and we can just fire him if he sucks,” he may not be the most complete candidate

if we're going the route of the up and comer for HC, I'm going with
Bob Chesney from James Madison
btw, without looking up all those different stats, there are these
JMU
total defense: ranking 5th, 257 yds game
total offense: ranking 19th, 457 yds game

Are you implying Kiffin hasn’t had multiple opportunities every year for over 5 years ?
Stop acting like ole Miss is shackling this guy to where he can’t be successful.
He had a $20million roster last year and still couldn’t make a 12 team playoff. One of their commits showed up in a damn Lamborghini to sign. They’ve pretty much given him everything he’s asked for. Again I’d take him no doubt but I’m pretty skeptical of him at the same time. He seems to be his own worst enemy.

Let’s give him a look then. I’m tired of hearing this is LSU we can’t hire that guy and that same guy drags their nuts on our faces 2 years later

One problem with Morris’s stats: his lackluster time at Washington State.
The year before Morris at OC, the Cougs had a better offense statistically, and that was a year of total disarray, with their head coach fired midway through the season.
Morris comes in as the OC, brings Ward with him who he had worked with for two years at incarnate word, a future first round pick, and Washington State’s offense got worse somehow. Now it is just one year, and it was a new school to him, but all indications are that that offense should’ve gotten better if not much better and it didn’t. Just something to think about.

Is Petrino not on the table? Seems like a no-brainer. I hate when we play a Petrino coached team.

Offensive Touchdowns Per Game:

They score 6 touchdowns a game?!?!?!
What do we average, like 1?
I like the Morris, Golesh, Sumrall candidates. Don't know why Brent Key isn't getting more love around here.
Id be more excited with one of these younger, semi unknowns for 6-7 mil than Kiffin for 11+ mil. Whether or not that's warranted can be debated.

I know it doesn't really make a difference in terms of financial stability of the program but "worth" is still a thing.
The results will determine the worth and I just don't think Kiffin has shown the results to be worth 11+ million.

He’s about to make the playoff

Still doesnt make it worth it to me. maybe if he'd made it a few times. or quicker than year 6.
If playoffs make it worth it for you we could hire Franklin for cheaper.
Not saying I hate Kiffin as a candidate or anything.. I just find him the least exciting. He's just been coaching for awhile now without much to show for it.
its kind of a Jimbo vs Herman thing for me. I was much more excited about Herman. We got neither and neither turned out well.. So Herman was the better choice, probably, being that he was cheaper.
