Petrino would have been gone within a year or 2 anyway

i agree. he had sabinitis for the NFL. but i think he's a fricking damn good college coach and amazing offensive mind

if he had left last offseason we coulda gotten saban back also without a lot of the drama. who knows

But JR running that offense with Bowe, Davis, and Doucet would have been amazing

but he's also been extremely fortunate to win several games that could have easily gone the other way.

You can say that about every coach at every big-time program. This is not a knock on Les, rather, it is a testament to his ability to motivate his players to keep playing when things look bad.

How many times has LSU been blown out (14+ pts) under Les? ONCE. How many times was LSU blown out under Saban? Eight times in 5 years.

It was a fun 3 years so no hard feelings. But I think both parties benefit from the separation

Yeah, probably best. Michigan gets 10 or 11 win coach & LSU goes back to winning 8 or 9 games a year.

You said balls....it takes balls to go for on 4th.

It also takes a shitty offense that can't get it done on 3rd down and are probably trailing hence the top 10. What matters if that LSU ranks 2nd in the 4th PCT . Unfortunately also rank 2nd in penalties.

Our program is bigger than whoever runs it.

That's a load of crap. Dinardo, Hallman, and Archer...You think LSU would be okay with these nutbags running the program again? Yes, LSU football would continue...miserably. It does matter who runs the program because that is what makes it successful. If I'm wrong, prove it. Go get Bob Davies arse hired and see how long our program stays on a national level.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.

10-2 sucks balls. Why can't we get a coach to win 8-9?

I think you'll find a lot of Bama fans that agree that Les did not win with Saban's players. He won period.

I know there are some realistic Bama fans who think this, but they are the minority.

Bama fans have convinced themselves that LSU was all Saban and that Miles is a horrible coach for not winning it all the past two years, while it is clearly obvious Saban would have. They give no credit whatsoever to Miles and they have no respect for LSU. To them, Saban will win multiple national championships at Alabama, because they are Alabama. It will be fun to watch their demise when Saban fails to win a NC.
