Still a bad link...looks like the URL originally had "contact", now has "contacts".

Anyway, here's the article:

A DC for 2 SB winning teams and a NC team.

FWIW, he was already the HC of Syracuse when UT won the National Championship in '05. He only spent one year there (2004) as a Co-DC. That defense didn't look great versus Okie State or Michigan in the Rose Bowl, but who's perfect.

Why are we going after a coach that was fired from another school?

Yeah, you're right, Crowton was fired by BYU so we should get rid of the highest scoring OC we have ever had.

A Texas fan here. We love Greg Robinson in Austin. He has the Will Muschamp type enthusiasm and works from the sideline. We only had him one year because Syracuse hired him as HC. He evidently is not a good head coach but I feel he is a very good DC and think LSU would like him. When it was feared Texas would lose Muschamp a lot of posters were promoting Robinson to come back as DC. I will say Texas fans are glad we don't need him, though.

He was also DC for the KC Chiefs for a while.

He was the guy that Dick Vermeil fired in one of his last seasons with KC. This was when Vermeil cried during the press conference.

As an aside, that KC defense was terrible.

There are a lot of great candidates out there, I just don't think Robinson should be at the top of the list.

"Why are we going after a coach that was fired from another school? I was started to get excited about the prospect of the Koenning/Orgeron combo on the LSU sideline next season."

You do realize both of these guys you want were FIRED by other schools....right?
