It would be Aranda for me. Although there isn't much of a sample size, he seems to be leading Baylor in the right direction. The win over OU last week was definitely good, but that alone doesn't have any bearing on it for me.
I think it's pretty obvious that he was the glue holding everything together at LSU since 0's been here. He is a good manager. He's very disciplined and organized and he always fields one of the best defenses in college football.
On paper, Riley would look like the better choice and maybe he is but Lincoln Riley did not build that program. Bob Stoops did and then he handed the keys of a well oiled machine over to Lincoln Riley. Let's not forget that Oklahoma hasn't had very much serious competition in the Big 12 the last several years. The only big game that I can think of that Riley has won, not counting the yearly game with Texas, is against Ohio St. He is 0-3 in the CFP. He also hasn't fielded a decent defense since he's been there and he apparently doesn't seem to think that's an issue. For those who say that LSU will always have a good defense no matter what, they won't if you don't recruit for it and coach for it and apparently Lincoln Riley does neither of those.
I personally think Aranda is the kind of guy that will never be satisfied with being good enough. He will always want to find a way to be better as a coach and as a team and that's the kind of person I would like to see as our next coach.
