Saban-Hate to see him go.

I'm going to miss Saban. Kind of like I miss Spurrier, when he was at Florida. The competition that they provided, always made for the best game of the year. Unless it was a championship game. I enjoyed their agony of defeat, almost as much as LSU winning. Visors getting thrown, and the look of anguish on their face. When LSU beat them, it made my year.
I do appreciate the competition that they brought to the field.
I can't understand why everyone is excited that Saban has retired. You can't beat him if he isn't there anymore. I was hoping Kelly was going to give him a go, after he had a few years to get set up.
SEC fans always talking about how tough the SEC is, and I agree. So, you should want good competitors to compete against. It makes you that much better, and wins mean that much more. If you just want easy wins go join the Mountain West or some sh@t.
Although Saban unlike Spurrier did seem to get a lot of games given to him by the SEC officiating. He was still a very good coach, that always fielded a complete team. They were well coached and prepared for on all phases of the game. Offense, defense and special teams. You had to have you crap together to win. (Well, I guess Les proved me wrong on that one. He couldn't even manage a clock.)
Now the SEC officiating, when it came to Alabama-Saban, is another story. I almost gave up college football there for a while, due to it looking like the WWF. I want to watch a game, not a show.
But I am not sure that is going to change, with Saban retiring. If Alabama or Auburn have a decent team. The SEC seems to pull games for them. Though, with all the replays they have these days, it's harder to pull off.

Love him or hate him, you gotta respect him.

I’ll miss playing his teams because of the “hatred”. I won’t miss his incessant whining, favorable calls, media bias, eyeball test, dodge cars, college gameday lobbying, hair coloring, “bidness desishun” bullshite.
