I don't deny that, but Fran told everyone he was staying and then split in the middle of the night. Saban came from Miami to Bama and y'all got your panties in a wad over it.

I have been thinking the same thing. Deep down he knew that he should have stayed on at Miami for the sake of integrity and if he had he would be able to come back to the job he missed so much. I doubt that anyone would have a problem with taking him back under those circumstances. But going to Bama the way he did and then recruiting the way he did burned all bridges forever. I do not believe there is any chance he will come back now. He may want to but LSU will not have him. He has been too mercenary.

highly doubt this. It is the SEC - everybody is sleeping with everybody, and winning cures all. It's not about trust, loyalty, etc... it is about one thing. Winning.
