where did I make it a racial issue?

You get me a coach with some rings, I don't care what color he is. If you can get Dungee to come here, I'll be all for it.

Having said that, fans like you I really don't care what you think. I want LSU to be the best program in college football. If not the best, then a perennial top ten program. I am all for loyalty but I DO care about what kind of team we put on the field.

Like I say again, A Coach of color has to win a superbowl to be considered a Good Coach to meet LSU Standards!!!

But we have hired below average coaches, Again Tell David Duke I said Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Explain to me why you hire a coach with a losing SEC record for the number one team in the country?

That is about the size of it. I want a championship coach hired, regardless of color. Not some undsicovered genius. not some young guy who is hte next sure thing or someone who jusut needs the right tools. nope. There is nothing on Croom's resume to show you hire him at LSU.

you probably like the Smoke hire though.

Here we go, if LSU doesn't hire a black coach, it's because LSU, it's administrators, it's fans, the citizens of Louisiana, and the citizens of the U.S. are all racist. Better call Jesse and Al. Next week they can have thier march from the stadium to Walk Ons.

Whoever asked this question is undoubtedly looking for some racial commentary from the board. Bottom line....He will not be the coach b/c he is black! Period! Fair or not, it is what it is. The Tiger Fandom would be in a uproar. He is a good coach with good lineage and probably would be a great addition but it would never fly in the SEC as far as powerhouses are concerned. Plus once he got here, there would be scrutiny to no end the minute he loses that first game and would be on a very very short leash! Not worth the headache! He will make Miss St. competitive and they will thank him for exceeding the normal expectations they have. At LSU, he would have to go undefeated twice with two NC just to be considered "LSU's" coach. Hell, Miles has just gotten that title unofficially and he's about to bolt.

wrong.

Where has Croom shown he is a good coach?

Horrible record til this year. still going to have 5 losses or so t his year. I'd call him an average coach. Not good. not bad. average.

So why do you hire average if you want to be number one?

So again, My question, What Black Coach will you hired and Why?

But again, he's not good enough!!!; You made it a racial issue when people are held back beacuse of their color or your ethnic choice. But not judge on their character and skilled.

How about we just hire the person MOST QUALIFIED for the job regardless of skin color? Funny how people want equality ONLY if they have preferential treatment and are treated better than anyone else...

There is not a black coach I would hire over Willingham. He got a raw deal and he defines the word CLASS.

Hmmm I would take Dungy over TW.

Not convinced he got a raw deal.. He didnt win. He was hired to return ND back to prominence it didnt happen. Weis did up until this year. (They were actually in the NC hunt the last two years despite getting butt stomped in Bowls. I think Weis has one more year and then he is gone.

the Black coaches I would hire are in the pros.

I like Nix but he needs to spread his wings first.

Croom and Brooks are similar in their success and I don't want either of them. Hiring a black coach brings on an extra burden which is not needed if you are a program like LSU. So maybe it is racist. I don't really care. It is what it is. I just want coach that makes winning as easy as possible.

If Croom had a better record I'd be all for hiring him. I like him. I just don't like his record so far.

I like Croom as well but i believe he would have to hire some good asssistants, now i like his DC he puts pressure on the QB and also we all have to understand Croom doesn't have the talent LSU and other SEC teams have, yet he has pull off some upsets over teams that have more talent. Croom is not getting 5 star talent, he also inherited a team that was left in bad shape.

And to TW situation the problem with it was that he was fired after only 3 season while the coached that preceded him was given 5 and TW had more success than he did that why there was problems with his firing. Durrell is gone and if UCLA does fire him it's not because he is black it's because they care nothing about football. Everyone and thier momma can see he has been overly inconsistent every year.

Considering Croom is at Moo State and the program has been on probation since he got there, he's done VERY well. I just look at Les Miles and how he gets torn down on here. Just imagine what Croom would get. I think if he does take another job in the SEC it would be Bama. Saban wont be there long.

that is the point.

you have to IMAGINE how he would do because his record is mediocre at best.
