Who is in charge of recruiting the CB's for LSU?
I'm not sure they recruit by position so much as by area. But I could be wrong about that.

I think McCray and Jones getting in over the other 2 is more a function of McCray having played well last year as nickel back and Jones being such an all around player that you got get him on the field. I think we'll be ok at the CB spots with Jai, Hawkins and the young guys like Brooks, Williams, and Phelon Jones. We got the athletes, just gotta coach em up.

If you are at a great program, your top assistants get jobs. It's a fact of the business.

Except that we lose both of our starting CB's, and their back ups, Eugene and Hawkins can't even get on the field in dime situations. Currently we bring in safeties in our nickle and dime packages. One has to assume that Miles/Pellini are very unhappy with their play in practice. Next year could be scary at the corner positions.
Yeah, it'd be nice if we had someone that could teach that position. Like maybe....Tenuta?

When we have 2 strong safties (jones and McCray) coming in on passing situations you know something isn't right with our reserve cb's.
I would chalk to up to inexperience. Most DB prospects don't play DB in HS(the best athletes tend to be put at QB WR etc.), they might have played DB I don't really know. But it takes a while to get into the pace of the college game picking up schemes and learning better technique.
Lets see what happens these guys have been coached for a bit, I have no reason to doubt their athleticism.

It isn't like GT is total shite, though. They had the top WR in the nation last year and the top RB in the ACC. The talent at LSU is definitely better, but GT isn't Georgia Southern
come on now TEB
yeah we had a great WR and RB ... but honestly, you know better than talk about O players when we're talking about a DC talent
GT doesn't have horrible talent, and we're not Ga Southern .... but then again LSU isn't GT
and LSU will have tremendously more talent than GT
and if we can lead the nation in sacks, lsu can too ... and LSU's secondary will be better than GTs this year ... and they'll def be better than jahi word-daniels and pat clark

I am totally for him to come on over, and improve upon our defensive squad. I was just pointing out the fact that we better not expect him to stick around for long.

Dewayne Walker, was on Miles staff at OSU In 1995.
Didn't realize that (though technically they were on Simmons staff, Miles was OC). I've been kinda getting on the Walker bandwagon, he's like Tenuta with NFL ties and a good recruiting rep.
