He already got his client the raise. Media continue to bring up Jimbos name because it’s lazy. That ship has already sailed and all parties involved already know. If Woodward ends up going back to jimbo a third time it will be a desperate attempt to salvage the search as it means his other candidates have also declined.

I'm hearing Jimbo from a non media figure, that has called dozens of things prior to public knowledge. The Jimbo smoke isn't from the Media. It's from other sources.

Our most reliable and connected people are all saying the door isn’t closed on either end.
Not that it’s definitely going to happen or even more likely than not to happen, but Woodward is going to make Jimbo say no to his face after a full court press sales job. He’s not just going to take no for an answer through Sexton and move on.

Dude, it’s called an investment and Jimbo has a sh!t ton of money. Doesn’t matter where he lives when you have generational money. Also, Jimbo got time to go sit out at his ranch playing cowboy? Don’t think so. Again a tax write off.

They are friends, I’m certain that jimbo will answer the phone to a friend. Again it’s people being lazy because they know there is a friendship there.

It’s also true he has a soft spot for LSU.
Is that going to make the difference? I have no idea, you don’t see moves like that very often without issues behind the scenes at the school the coach is leaving and there’s no indication of that in this case.
Looking at the landscape it looks like a less than 50% thing for sure but not 0 or even single digits. Maybe 15-20%

What’s more unbelievable is that you think a coach like Jimbo wouldn’t entertain the idea of leaving a school with a losing record to all but three schools in the SEC for LSU after having just watched Ed Orgeron win a championship.

The thing the aggys aren’t considering is that even if Jimbo left they could end up hiring a better coach for them long term anyway.
These things are a crapshoot and how something looks today will look very different 5 or 10 years from now.
My biggest fear for LSU would be to hire Jimbo and then A&M gets like a Napier or something who we could have hired but who ends up being the real deal. That sort of thing would go down in infamy.
I like Jimbo but I don’t see him getting them over the hump, nor do I think he’d win another title here.

When he left FSU he stopped recruiting and threw his Christmas tree out by the curb.
We just got a bunch of crystal balls for 4 or 5 different 5 star recruits yesterday. If those stop rolling in I'll keep my eye out for his Christmas tree by the curb.

i'll let you in on a secret: lsu fans like riling up aggy on the jimbo to lsu talk. deep down, everyone knows that even if LSU is a better job overall, jimbo isn't coming here.
