I would list Saban. Alleva should make him say no. By the way I think there is a 99.9% chance of Saban coming back to LSU.

He left for Cleveland just as they were hitting their peak. The team he built didn't lose for two full seasons, until Ohio State in the 2002/03 NC Game.

I think this thread (and those like it) are asinine. Stickying it is even more so. Make a thread encouraging Les to ignore any overtures from Michigan. THAT would be worthy of a sticky.

Has anyone mentioned Urban Meyers yet? I think he has a very nice daughter as well.

Yes.

He is too burnt out to coach at a high level.

Why do people say this? A lot of people truly believe this and I've actually heard concrete reasonings. I know he truly regrets leaving and loved it here, but what gives? It just doesn't make sense to me.

t's hard to know until that person actually has the job whether they would do better or worse than Miles.

Who would have thought we would win a national title within 4 years of hiring of Saban? He had one outstanding year at Michigan State and a whole lot of "eh" the rest of his time there.

Look at Miles at OK State. Yes, he made a moribund program somewhat relevant, but his only significant wins there were his two upset wins over Oklahoma.

To me, the whole coaching carousel is a crap shoot. Who would have thought that Rodriguez would do this poorly at Michigan? I mean, I wasn't expecting a national title or anything, but I really thought they would be more relevant than they are after what he had done at WVU.

As Jim Mora once said, "You think you know, but you don't know...and you never will."

Good post.

Do you think it is asinine because you think this thread will cause Miles to leave?

Or do you have a problem with hypothetical threads, in general?

It is stickied because it keeps countless other similar threads from appearing.

Apparently he was still getting involved in stuff in BR after his name was being mentioned in the Perkins Rowe lawsuit.

Spurrier, Josh McDaniels, or Jim Mora Jr. I know he's a sorry NFL coach but Carroll proved an awful NFL coach can be successful in college. Plus we would be awesome in the West Coast offense
