having recent success employing less agressive sceems than Walker is alledged to prefer
I don't agree with this. when bo was aggressive we had sucess but when he was conservative (ie. asu, tenn. 05, second half of last year) we were pretty average.

chavis > walker/

I hope more people will do their research like you have. Because they will come to the same conclusion.
Let's get back on track with Chavis.

I certainly don't know for sure, but I'm leaning toward Walker. Over the last three years the Tenn defense has finished an average of 41st in total defense, while UCLA has finished an average of 37th. I know the PAC 10 isn't the SEC, but they do have some pretty good offenses out there.
Also, it appears Chavis had quite a bit more to work with in talent. UCLA only had 3 defensive players drafted over the last three years, and two of them were in the last round. During the same time, Tenn had ten players drafted, including three first rounders and a second rounder.
It also appears that Walker has a much better reputation than Chavis as a recruiter.

It seems that Dick Bumpas is head and shoulders above both Chivis and Walker.
It seems that his defenses are always somewhere in the top ten nationally.

b/c his HC is Gary Patterson

Is the Otter back on afternoon radio? Let me know when, so I can block my radio to ensure I don't accidentally dial in.
And if he was talking to a guest, there is a 99.98% chance it was MFP...

Ott was talking with Sonny Shipp on his show yesterday about the coaching changes.

Sonny needs to watch the company he keeps...
OK, if he was in the conversation, the chance of something meaningful being said just went up 15378%. Sonny...

Just got this from a horned frog website, "No knocks on Bumpas, but our defense is run by Gary Patterson and taking Bumpas will give them what amounts to an assistant DC" when talking about LSU fans calling for Bumpas for DC.

But yet you go to a website to read very reliable information of anonymous people.

Which is to say that Walker has been an outstanding recruiter for UCLA in California, and other western high schools and Chavis does not like to recruit, does not embrace recruiting and really only closes on the big defensive recruits.

I think they have an offer ready to make to Chavis. Still nothing new to on O, I think his agent is trying to play the "game", who knows, we'll see what happens

I'm a little surprised that money would be BeBe's biggest roadblock right now! I know how much he loves being back in Louisiana with his family and friends. There must be a big gap between LSU and the Saints or Tennessee.

So it appears to you that Chavis is Miles first choice? Are there any others that maybe in the mix? Do you think O is just waiting for the Saints season to end? Thank again Belowpar for keeping us all updated
