Never built anything, it was handed to him. IMO that makes him same level or lower as Aranda and Napier.

I think his recruiting skill is still an open question. So far he's had two season where recruiting was hampered by covid restrictions. Recruiting is about establishing relationships, and you can't do that over night, especially when contact is limited. It takes time to build these things, and he hasn't had that time yet. What we do know is that he had pretty good results when he was at LSU. So, I don't think anyone can argue that he will be bad at recruiting. What we don't know is if he can be elite. With everything else he brings to the table, I want Dave to come back.
