cal sure tanked this year. And I'm not so sure about his defense.

But of anyone on this board right now, I think you get my point. My head is hurting right now from reading this train wreck.

Still though,

He's taken a historically ZERO Cal program that was only known for one play in their entire program history, and has made it decently respectable in their conference when looking at his entire body of work (not just this year), taking in account their miniscule budget, horrible facilities, and hippies in trees for jesus christ!

So he's not a defensive coach...neither is Spurrier..Neither was Mike Ditka when with the '85 Bears...but if Tedford can find his 'Buddy Ryan' for a DC, I think he could do good things here at LSU with the bevy of access he would have as compared to what he has (or doesnt have ) at Cal.

Tedford could be decent for us.

He has done a lot with the Cal boys out here.

Harbaugh's comment to the press last week:

quote:

-Asked if because of academic standards, Notre Dame and Stanford, who play today in Palo Alto, compete for the same high school athletes, Cardinal coach Jim Harbaugh insisted, "I would say in academic standards it's a universe of one, Stanford being that one.

LINK

After those comments, how does JH get a job anywhere else?

First he disses his alma mater UM, now everybody else with the "highest standards" card.

It's not enough that Stanfurd is SOOOOOOO expensive and exclusive, and all LSJU grads make bank....

It's also a convenient excuse for a head football arse-clown....

I think he is worth a shot

I don't want to take a shot on anybody else. We took a shot on Miles and Saban, made them into superstars, only to have them leave after 5 and 3 years. We need someone who is established and doesn't have another "dream job" to work toward.

Harbaugh is a good coach, but he is also a total scumbag personally. I don't want that guy coaching here.
