Buddy, Nick Saban loves a challenge, but he does not want to come back to LSU. He's just not coming, bud, you must let that go. Somebody is pulling one over on you bud.

I never said anything about who it is. But it’s pretty easy to figure out if you have followed everything that’s come out from the beginning and you know how Woody does things.

And no, I'm not opposed to Nick Saban because he's 70. In fact I feel strongly he could make us the dynasty that he damn well should have made us already; but hell will freeze over and never warm up again upon Nick Lou Saban returning to LSU. You know better than this.

I'm starting to think it's either Petersen or Rhule.

Well the beginning was Jimbo, and that made me queasy. Then I got all excited about Riley. That was never going to happen though. He feels he's got a damn utopia at OkieU. Now I fear it's Campbell or M. Stoops. You must be drinking and smoking way better shite than I am bud.

It’s not Cambell or Stoops. That much is clear.

Neither of them would excite anyone who matters especially not our current players or recruits (who woody has told from day one that they would be very pleased with the hire).

I can't stomach Jimbo either. I'd be delighted with Riley or Petersen or Rhule or even Dabo. I'd accept Aranda too.

I tend to agree. Campbell would be the last tier. Not like he's a bad coach but it's not the 'it' hire people are expecting.

And if Woodward is really saying

Woodward is reportedly telling everyone “You’re gonna love it”

I don't think it's him. I sure don't think it's Stoops and every fiber in my body tells me it's not BoB.

Raises hand. I doubt he's coaching in 3-4 years

Ask yourself this question.

Don’t you find it interesting that Orgeron was allowed to hire the people he’s hired the last two years with no questions asked from the AD who is all about vetting coaches? (Remember, Orgeron didn’t even interview some of his hires)

Don’t you think it’s interesting that it’s been rumored from day one that Woody is no fan of Ed O?

Almost like Ed O was given enough rope to hang himself.

Almost like maybe Woody has had his guy since he was hired...

Woody is tremendously respected by coaches.

Well hell, I still can't figure out who it most likely is. Many still believe it's Riley. That's become more and more difficult for me to believe. I was riding; now I'm doing a slow walk. Hell maybe it really is a Petersen or a Fickell. And folks have been dismissing the Petersen and Fickell ideas almost immediately. shite fire save matches maybe he really did pull one of them (impossible) frickers. Fickell may be busy into January, but Petersen ain't doing shite. Petersen could be the white whale.

My very first guess at this a month ago was Petersen. Although it's been a long road around the world, I'm landing back on him being the choice.

And if, so I'll be ecstatic.

Yessir, Petersen is a white whale. He just wins and wins and wins some more.

Good point, but Chicken is adamant Woodrow is holding off out of respect for Orgeron finishing his last season. Maybe Petersen really is our ginormous white whale.

I don't know but there could be many reasons unbeknownst to us. As stated, could be Woody letting O finish the season before announcing? Fox sports contract situation? Who knows but I don't think just automatically rules out the possibility.

it just makes perfect sense from every angle. Badass coach, buds with Woody, free timeline, and he doesn't have to stolen from another school.

Petersen is the definition of consistently solid. He may not go on a dynasty run but we would be in the hunt every year.

Regarding who/what?

If you're talking about the OP, just look at Woodward hires his entire career...the dude goes big

Petersen ain't ever coached at a "fertile" place like LSU. I'm not so sure he wouldn't come close to Saban's dynasty! If he coached for 10 years, I bet he could rack up 3 or 4 or 5 titles. Purple and Gold Machine churned out all them NFL guys and did so with some dufus motherfrickers coaching. Imagine a winner like Petersen. Somebody wake me up.
