I don't understand why so many lsu fans claim arky wants to be their rival? I've lived in Fayetteville for 15 years and honestly I have never heard anyone mention it one time, not once. I get a lot of shite if I have a bama shirt on but it's always in fun. The only team I think Arkansas fans would love to hate is Oklahoma. They live among each other and both universitys are not very far apart.

Take that statement 30 years ago, and it is accurate. 20 years ago, and it's still somewhat accurate. 10 years ago to today, not so much. The rivalry with Tulane is essentially dead now.
It was a great rivalry in its time. But... Strike One - Tulane left the SEC. Strike Two - That 24.5 year win streak by LSU versus Tulane, including those 62-0 shellackings. And Strike Three - strangely, I think it really started to die quickly with the advent of the Super Dome. Around the same time as TU started using the Dome as their home stadium, and left the campus behind, everything seemed to cool off rapidly between the two schools, and football in general started seeming less and less important to the Greenies. Plus Arky took their place as final game of the season; it wasn't long after this before they ceased being an annual item on the schedule.
