He said UF's board voted
Indivdiual school's "boards" don't vote---the university president's, who make up the committee vote. At no time has the LSU Board of Supervisor's come together and "voted" as a group on conference expansion. I call the "BS" card on your Florida friend and that supposed "insider information"....
Like I said I know you want in, but if you haven't figured this out by now, it's not just about a good football team---it's about a solid program that brings household's and TV sets to the equation and unfortunately you guys just don't have that to offer. I'm not against you, just stating the obvious.

I have no more information than the next guy, but I don't see the SEC now being in a rush to take in another team, just for the sake of making it 14. They sit in a very dominant position at the moment and have the luxury of just "sitting it out" and letting the "dust clear". My personal thoughts are the lone exception to that is Missouri, soley because of their geographic location (Missouri borders three current SEC states and the fact that it brings the St. Louis and Kansas City markets to the table. I think if the SEC knew Missouri was ready to remove itself from the Big 12, they would be in. But like I said, that's just one man's opinion....

It is still possible that Florida's Board voted in an advisory manor on expansion, so the President could take his vote with the full faith of the board. Harry Potter also plays quiddich.

If posts on college sports boards threads were reliable, then the "The Rant" would own the world and I could pick stocks based on the "extremely accurate predictions" and "absolute sources" that find their way into these threads. Sorry, I just don't buy into it. The SEC got what it really wanted by taking in A&M: The Houston, Dallas and San Antonio markets. If you follow what the league is trying to do, then there is simply no logic for taking WVU in versus Missouri with the St. Louis and Kansas City markets, IF Missouri decides to depart the Big 12. I live in the DFW metroplex and I can tell you from all I see, hear and read here that discussion is far from over.

Am I allowed to be upset by this yet, or do I have to wait 'til next July?

Next to WV, the Aggs look like a home fricking run.

WHY do people do this.
On that first scout.com link, somebody says "As always Gator thanks for the info".
The guy has 19 posts.
Come on, I call major B.S. and it wasn't even faked well.
Don't you guys realize you make WVU look desperate propagating this B.S. We were independent and did very well, thanks. We don't need the SEC, plus they don't want us anyway. I refuse to be the chick who won't quit stalking.

God damnit.
Not that I don't want the 14th team to be West Virginia. I just don't want expansion at all.
The conference is getting worse. A&M and West Virginia aren't really that quality of programs.

Just when I thought Tennessee had the biggest hillbillies and State had the biggest rednecks. WVU might outdo them both.

Just make sure we play WVU on a neutral site with any SEC team and not in morgan town. We know they can't keep order there...

I'm actually excited. A good basketball team to challenge UK. Huggy bear vs. Coach Cal!!!! Finally there will be another coach in the SEC that people hate!!!
