that the UT Athletic Dept is and has been a huge cancer to college athletics.

DeLoss Dodds, who is one fricking hell of a business man, has brought college sports into mainstream American business.

Welcome to what we've experienced for the last 15 years. Texas is about to get raked over the coals in the national media, not the texas media mind you, but the national media.

honestly, I always though Aggies were just whiners. But, no, it turns out you were underselling just how evil Texas is. I'm amazed by their arrogance.

Texas deserves some scrutiny, but like you said, I certainly don't expect any quality from Texas newspapers.

Nor from Chip Brown, who is now a PR hack.

You don't have to tell hog fans. At least those of us who were around during the SWC days.

It sure didn't start yesterday. Tim Cowlishaw of the Dallas Morning News (and Around the Horn) tried to argue on Sunday:

quote:

Have the Aggies not noticed what happened to Arkansas?

Never mind the fact that when Arkansas left the SWC they cut themselves off from Texas recruits; barring Texas politicians convincing Congress to move College Station to Louisiana that won't happen to A&M.

Chuck Carlton's article on the same day even quoted the notable philosopher Ricky Williams (a/k/a El KaBONG):

quote:

I couldn't imaging Texas without A&M -- it would be like Batman without the Joker, something would be missing.

It hurt somewhat at first with Texas recruiting. It won't hurt A&M's recruiting. In fact, it will more than likely improve if they come to the SEC.

My Mom and Dad are on a cross country trip and as soon as TCU beat UTw, I called my Dad to tell him! It made his day! My Dad loathes Texas!
