Gotta admit, when I first saw that map, I too was floored by how simply it illustrates the SEC14, with Mizzou in the East.

I am crossing my fingers, a 90 mile road trip for me every other years. This would be awesome!!!!!!

Actually better for Missou in the West per your map, not close.

SEC Northeast and Southwest divisions.
I would actually rather do this than try to move Auburn East and split up the State of Alabama. Auburn to the East kills the UT rivalry with Bama, and also lessens the importance of the Iron Bowl because it would no longer be a divisional game. Also, you could have Iron Bowl rematches in back to back weeks.

No. The Iron Bowl WILL be moved to another date ala Miami/FSU.

No. Any expansion move that would end the UT/Bama rivalry and move the Iron Bowl to any day other than Thanksgiving weekend will be blocked steadfastly by Auburn, Alabama, and Tennessee.

I don't like either, but reality says UT, Bama, and Auby have no power over the rest to decide such.
That is UT(Big-12) thinking and that won't happen here in the SEC.
shite happens and many times not for the better.

Has anyone done the math on how far all of the existing SEC schools are from each other?
