And just to be clear we wouldn't have this problem if u cowards would get over yourselfs and let FSU in.

UF has never stood in the way of FSU joining the conference. In fact, in 92 we WANTED them to join and tried to get them instead settling on SC or ark (I don't remember which was invited last). Bobby Bowden has since admitted that he didn't want to join the SEC because he felt it would be too hard and instead wanted to dominate the ACC. Which, by the way, he did quite handily through the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. The FSU fanbase may not be afraid of the SEC, but the administration definitely is.

I guess this would just make too much sense. Add in the fact that none of the 100-year rivalries will be destroyed and it's even better.

God I hope we bring in a better team the Mizzou. They would be a shitty fit. Same with AtM. We need teams that can sell out their allotments of tickets on the road. I heard that Mizzou and AtM cant even sell out a lot of home games.

Serious question....what was LSU attendance like pre-Saban? 100%, guaranteed sell out every single game?

If so, then kudos.

Every home game this year was sold out before the season even started.

Well we had an 80k stadium so that should tell you something about the demand structure based on our success prior to our worst decade ever in the 90's. Saban was great for us, but people forget we were good and existed before his arrival, just not immediately before his arrival.

I just dont know why you guys would want to come to the SEC and lets see be at best the 6th best team in the conference.

Bama, LSU, UF have been shuffled into that #1 spot the last 8 years or so. And Aubbie has won a title

1a Bama
1b Lsu
2. UF
3. Aub
4.UGA
5.USC
6. Tenn
7.TAM

Fair enough...I was just wondering if you packed the stadium for teams like La Tech and ULALA when you were in your lull during most of the 90's.

We flat out didn't do it for crappy OOC games during the Frantastic era....but set a home opener record last year against SFA, and another one this year against SMU (far from marquee team)...so things are changing.

The stadium will expand beyond the current 88K capacity after the 2013 season. SEC games at Kyle will be sold out, every single time, guaranteed.

Arkansas-Missouri would be a natural rivalry. Fayetteville has been stuck in the upper far corner of the conference for 20 years, and now we have a chance to add a team closer in vicinity. I don't think it would make sense to put Missouri in the East when they would fit in much better with Ark and A&M in the West. Auburn fits much better in the East, and they can still play Bama every season.

and yet you cant sell your allotment of tickets at JerryWorld for the Arkansas game this weekend?

Its kind of like your unofficial SEC debut- and you can't get rid of your tickets. What happened to the rabid fanbase?

If ya'll can't even make it to Dallas, with a team that was ranked in the top 10 last week for a matchup against a ranked OOC opponant... are we really to expect you will make it to Athens or Gainsville or Knoxville or Tuscaloosa or Auburn?

Did you see how many Bama fans made up to Happy Valley? How many LSU fans made it up to Morgantown?

Its things like this that make us laugh when you try to act like A&M has such a great fanbase and is such a monster program

When we're terrible and playing some directional nobody the stadium is a shell of itself. But what stadium isn't unless you have a tiny little stadium.

Maintaining the status quo means winning one conference championship every 13 years (the last was in 1998), and having 6-8 win seasons more often than not. Thats been our existence in the Big 12.

WORST case scenario; we go to the SEC and do nothing more than go to shitty bowl games each year..which is EXACTLY what we are used to. This isn't OU joining the SEC, walking away from a league thats allowed them to go to BCS bowls most seasons and go to a NC every 3-4 years. What exactly are we walking away from?

At least we get to play primetime opponents most weeks, and be in a league of equals. Why on earth would we look back at the Big 12 and think "Damn, we should have stayed". What is there to miss? Aggies don't give a shite about the Tech and Baylor "rivalries" anymore than you do about La Tech and Tulane. If UT doesn't want to play anymore, then thats their problem....we are open to continuing it, as we've made clear.

The upside to joining the SEC is being able to recruit as the only SEC team in Texas, and using an influx of donations/ticket sales to continue the improvements that we've already made in the last 5-8 years in terms of facilities.

Either that happens, and we relive the success seen from the mid 80s-mid 90s......or we continue to have mediocre seasons, but in a much better conference with much better opponents...and of course better tailgating.

That sounds a little depressing, but that is my realistic, no-bullshite take on this.

We're pretty used to losing seasons. A few more won't hurt anything.

But then we lose the 3rd Saturday in October, so that doesn't work for Bama or TN fans at all

If it weren't for A&M, Arkansas would still be the SEC noobs, and the SEC better not get rid of the 3rd Saturday in October, a matchup between the 2 teams that built the SEC and are the all time winnigest programs in the conference...

for a matchup of Arkansas vs Mizzou. I hate to do it because I like Arkansas, but we Bama and Tennessee are gonna have to play the seniority card on this one

You can call us a lot of things, but at least we aren't gaping vaginas like our friends in Austin....play LSU, Bama, Auburn, Arkanas and possibly UT every year, with Florida and the rest of the East mixed in? Bring it
