I really do feel bad for ISU. They have absolutely no leverage on anything or a voice. They are fricked. Sad, really.

They're still touching themselves to Seneca Wallace

Academically, what kind of school is Iowa state

I think they've been in the AAU for a very long time. Other than that I'm not sure

First of all I notice all the hate towards Baylor is coming from aggy and hogs. Funny. No one from LSU is bashing them.
I hate what has become of college football. Today Stoops says "we may not play Texas" or something close to that.
When all is said and done we still will not have a playoff.
And for aggy, Baylor didn't do a fricking thing you aren't doing. They looked out for themselves and FORCED their way into the Big 12. That didn't screw the others. You and UT were doing that. You didn't even want Tech who owns you.
I was against this expansion from day one and still are. We are diluting the SEC which is exactly what the other Comish's want. LSU will have a much harder time recruiting in Texas now.

Tech hasn't beat A&M in ANY sport since baseball in 09 and football in 08. We have dominated them in all 19 sports we play for pretty much 3 years

Tech over aggy 10*5
UT over aggy 10*5
OU over aggy 10*5
Tech's football program is far superior to your load of wagon shite you brought to the CB.

Heard it here first.
Brilliant!
(except KSU and KU share a board that has said they aren't going anywhere without each other)

As your numbers show the Texa5-7onghorns, OU and iTT are all equal powers in CFB
How about A&M currently has scoreboard on all 3 of those schools?
Oh, and A&M is 5-1 in the last 6 against LSU if we are just posting misleading stats

So if you were A&M you would stay in the Big 12

So if you were A&M you would stay in the Big 12 for the sake of the other schools. Damn, you dumb mother fricker
I just said that Baylor did what you are doing and I'm not accusing you of ditching them, merely saying you are doing the same thing they did, look out for yours.
I regret opening our conference to you assholes so much but hopefully I get to watch a decade watching the Tigers stomp the ever loving shite otta you texassans

A&M and Texas had already bolted, though not officially. Then Baylor and Tech hopped along. If Baylor ditched the SWC, what about A&M? How can an Aggie condemn Baylor for their actions, which weren't as destructive as A&M's to the SWC?

^^^he gets it.
the truth never crosses aggy lips when it comes to their history.

We could have went SEC then but chose to stay and be part of a conference with multiple Texas teams and Baylor got the tag along.
Either way, we did what we thought was in our best interest then and now as has Baylor. It's the way Baylor has gone about it that has ruffled feathers.
And the hypocrisy is that Baylor has argued both sides. A&M has been on the same side both times. Baylor ditched UH, TCU, SMU to go B12 now they are arguing we must preserve rivalries. frick off Baptists

But they didn't "ditch" those schools within any meaningful definition of the term. Once A&M and Texas left the SWC, the conference was essentially dead. Rice made a conscious decision to de-emphasize football, so they dropped out of major college football on their own really. There were only five schools left in the SWC, which isn't enough to be a conference. Every school had to find a home at that point.
Baylor did exert political pressure to get into the Big 12, but the reason they were able to is that Baylor was clearly the most attractive option after A&M and Texas, along with Tech (and Baylor was good at other sports and has a far better academic rep than Tech).
They ruffled feathers because TCU has since turned themselves into a mid-major power and they've been largely able to rewrite history. But TCU was on probation at the time and wasn't appreciably better at football than Baylor when the Big 12 formed.
I think Baylor's campaign is doomed to fail, but what the hell else are they supposed to do?

Like BigKat already mentioned, its the way they went about it. Best way to try to convince someone to stay is to talk to them face to face. Not once did Ken Starr talk to Loftin about this matter. Instead, Ken Starr went around like a whore, jumping at every chance he got to spew inaccuracies in newspapers. Claiming that our departure will severely damage the Waco and Texas economy. If anything his behavior and the Perryman Report only fueled the inevitable. I don't want to play Baylor ever again, at least for a good while.

Thanks for a reasonable reply. But I would wager your man Loftin didn't consult Baylor either, nor should he have.
I'm sure we will clash many times over the next few years but I will have to accept the inevitable that you are now members.
Full Disclosure. My fear is my Tigers will be hurt recruiting in Texas. We are already number two in the nation and did it without aggy so why stir the pot. But hey, I'm old.

Baylor, Iowa State and K-State may get screwed the most out of everyone when its all said and done.
Conference realignment reminds me a lot of when a law firm implodes. The partners start scrambling for new firms and the ones left behind without jobs are the dead weight who were not bringing anything to the table to begin with. No one gets screwed in realignment. It was these weak schools that were screwing the big schools to begin with and the market is finally forcing them out.
